Story Synopsis

It’s senior prom at Springfield High School in 1958 and the contracted band has cancelled their performance! What to do?  When called upon to perform at their senior prom as a last minute replacement, Springfield High Songleaders, Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy, rally together to entertain their classmates in four-part harmony.

Ten years later “The Marvelous Wonderettes” are back to entertain everyone for the night of their class reunion, but as soon as the lights come up it’s clear that there’s trouble in paradise. The girls come to grips with their personal relationships and worldly troubles through singing beautiful harmonies once again.

This is a high energy show with your favorite songs from the 1950′s and 60′s including “Mr. Sandman”, “Lollipop”, “Lipstick on Your Collar”, “Wedding Bell Blues”, “Leader of the Pack”, and “RESPECT”, and many more.

The goal of the AV Photographers is to help local folks who shoot and live in the Antelope Valley in an informal way. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned photographer, there is something for everybody. Members are to learn to grow their passion for photography and learn to take and share great photographs.

We will learn from each other on interesting spots to shoot locally, how to make instead take photograph images. We will learn the art of processing those images in a better workflow and how to present images digitally or in print. We offer local hangouts and social gathering where a friendly and lively discussion about all facets of photography.

This meet up group is for all and have no clue what all the buttons and options our camera offer, whether you use Nikon or Cannon. We will talk you through all the basics, teach you some fundamental knowledge and show you what all the little dials and buttons do on your camera. We will offer workshops from Basic Photography, Basic Camera Skills, Composition, Lightroom, Photoshop, Portrait Lighting, Off-Camera Flash, Macro and close-up Photography, Fine Art Printing, Digital Asset Management, and much more. We will offer field trips locally to interesting places in the AV and beyond.

The Antelope Valley is not like other areas of the world, but with patience and knowledge, this area is very beautiful. Come join the adventure

“Today, new media is everywhere in museums–in the form of hand-held information devices, information kiosks, installation art, display supports, and archiving systems, as a means to reorganize working practices, and to keep track of visitors. The increasing ubiquity of systems of information manipulation and communication presents particular challenges to art institutions. At one level these challenges are practical: how should arts institutions take advantage of the new means of dissemination and communication made possible by technology? How do arts institutions compete as a medium for cultural practice in an increasingly media-saturated world? How can arts institutions engage new artistic practices made possible by new media? On the other hand the challenges are theoretical: how can arts institutions redefine themselves through service, social space, activism, interactions and relationally?”
