Antelope Valley Arts is dedicated to bringing attention to the arts in our midst and in our community, so that art can be part of our lives.
Recently we have expanded our focus to include artists outside the AV on our site here, in the hopes that this will aid in our mission and, more simply, that it will be interesting.

Maxwell makes a nuanced statement about identity in her work – femine identity in particular – as she explores also the mechanisms by which our ideals and ideas form regarding appearance.
