This year’s 26th juried art exhibition features two awards in memorial to our friends that we’ve lost this year.
The Lancaster Photography Association has renamed their annual award the Dean Webb Memorial Photography Award in honor one of the museum’s most fastidious supporters and friend. Dean Webb was a Life Member of the Lancaster Museum/Art Gallery Associates and has been instrumental in educating museum visitors about the history of photography as well as substantially contributing to the museum’s collection of vintage photographic equipment.
The Beryl Amspoker Memorial Award has been established by close friends to honor the memory of a remarkable arts patron. Amspoker was an artist herself, but devoted much of her time to encouraging and advancing the visual arts in the Antelope Valley. The award is given to a female artist who exhibits an excellent command of her chosen medium and whose works can serve as an inspiration to other artists.

LMAGA 3rd Best of Exhibition: $100
Lakes and Valleys Award: $100
Dean Webb Memorial Photography Award presented by the Lancaster Photography Association: $175
Beryl Amspoker Memorial Award: $300
Parks Recreation and Arts Director’s Award: $50
Curator’s Children’s Award: $50
Total Awards: $1,175
The final deadline for artist submissions is this Monday, January 24th, 2011 by 4 pm.
