Antelope Valley genre-crossing, metal/hardcore/punk band, This Place Is A Zoo, is releasing a new album. To celebrate the occasion, they are joining forces with a few other bands and putting on a show at the end of June.

As You Like It tells the story of best friends Rosalind and Celia, who travel to the Forest of Arden in disguise to escape banishment, find love, and discover family. Accompanied by the clown Touchstone, As You Like It is one of Shakespeare most beloved comedies and is appropriate for all ages! Theatricum’s production sets the tale in post Civil War America, and enhances the story with classic American folk music and dance. Do not miss the final performance of this magnificent, unique production!

Families work together to dance, sing, speak and act some of Shakespeare’s most enjoyable scenes. Be a fairy from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a clown from As You Like It, or a witch from Macbeth. Moms, Dads, kids, Grandparents – everyone will join in the fun! Scenes are performed at the Community Festival on November 22!

Music will feature famous compositions by Duke Ellington, Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis, Benny Golson, Joe Zawinul, Oliver Nelson, John Coltrane and Kenny Garrett. This concert will feature the West Coast Classical Jazz Combo and the Jeff Kaser Quartet.

The play draws on hundreds of interviews conducted by the theatre company with inhabitants of the town, company members’ own journal entries, and published news reports. It is divided into three acts, and eight actors portray more than sixty characters in a series of short scenes.

Cedar Street Theater proudly presents Charles Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol”, on stage at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center this weekend only.
This classic tale tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and how he fails to keep Christmas until he is visited by three spirits who convince him to redeem himself while he still has time left on earth. A heartwarming story that has become a Christmas tradition for many, this wonderful performance is not to be missed!
