DESERT WARFARE – breakdancing, beatboxing – graffiti – hip hop
Some of the performers from the upcoming event being touted as the Antelope Valley’s Biggest BBoy Jam came out to do a cameo at the Sagebrush Cafe Fete on April 13. That’s where I was introduced to the acappela stylings of some local beatboxers and rappers.
Aside from being entertaining extemporaneous performers, these are good guys. And they’re inviting the community out to a family friendly event on April 27, from 2 to 10 pm at INDUSTRY THEATER.
A lot is going on at the event including a graffiti showcase, hip hop performances and break dance exhibitions. Some big names will be coming to town and vendors will be on site with clothes and art work from LIHAI ART (pictured), PANIC 39 and THE THREADED.
The door is $10 and judging by what I saw this Saturday at Sagebrush Cafe, it’ll be worth every penny, and then some.
