As of now, we don’t have all the details but Joan Fry, local writer, published author, owner of a newly updated website (www.joanfry.com), has passed on word of an event.
Local writers will be reading from their work Friday, March 23 (7-9pm) at Butler’s Coffee House in Palmdale. This should be a nice way to punctuate your spring break, or a nice way to break from the norm as poets and maybe some fiction writers too offer a helping of language that has broken from its norms on Friday.
Nicelle Davis and Gary Helm are among the readers. Who else?
Let’s find out.
But wait, there’s more…
Fry also pointed us to a bi-monthly writers group sponsored by the LA County Library that meets the second and fourth Tuesday of every month (we need to confirm the dates). So if you are looking for a place to polish up your own work so that you can read in public too, these sessions may be for you.
Meetings held at the downtown Lancaster branch of the County of Los Angeles Public Library, you know, the big one.
